Bolzano

The South Tyrolean provincial capital Bolzano is located amidst exceptionally beautiful natural landscapes.

In the east you see the Dolomites, beyond the south you find the idyllic Überetsch. Situated in the west is the Tschögglberg, surrounded by the fascinating larch meadows. In the north is the unrefined Sarntal.

The city itself has a myriad of fine restaurants offering traditional Italian and Austrian cuisine. In close vicinity you will also find boutiques, local markets and gourmet-shops for which Bolzano is famous. Strolling through the city, one will find many interesting cultural attractions such as the legendary 5.400 year old mummy of the Iceman “Ötzi” in the Archaeology Museum. There is also a thriving theatre and music scene available to people with all kinds of tastes (including opera)!
